About Me
I'm Tylor, a software engineer focused on Industry 4.0, systems design, and building robust software that connects physical operations with digital intelligence.
My career has been defined by a deep dive into industrial automation, control systems, and real-time data processing. I enjoy taking fragmented production environments and turning them into cohesive, observable, and intelligent systems.
For personal background, I took distant-learning courses from grade 6 onward so I could focus heavily on programming and computers. I was also deeply involved in the Royal Canadian Cadet program, starting in sea cadets and later transitioning to army cadets. That experience was foundational for my growth as both a teammate and a leader.
What I Do
- Design and build AI-enhanced observability and production management systems for modern manufacturing
- Integrate complex protocols and systems (OPC-UA, MQTT, proprietary PLCs, ERPs)
- Develop full-stack solutions from embedded firmware to cloud dashboards
- Obsess over observability, reliability, and performance
- Mentor teams and champion modern software practices in traditional industries
Tech Stack
I primarily work with .NET ecosystems (C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor), and I am comfortable across embedded systems, cloud platforms, databases, and modern frontend frameworks.

Home Lab & Interests
When I am not building productions systems, I am usually experimenting in my home lab:
- Hypervisors (Proxmox, XCP-NG)
- Self-hosted services (NAS, containers, monitoring)
- Network automation and edge computing
- Home automation
I am also interested in:
- Machine learning and AI applications in industrial settings
- Open-source contributions
- Getting out into nature by camping, hiking, and kayaking
